What Bonne Mori Does
Practical Planning
From wills to passwords, DNRs to the music you’d like to listen to in bed, to who’s invited to your funeral and where that will be - we can help you think through and prepare so that your desires aren’t overlooked.
Emotional Support & Companionship
Sorting through the feelings, fears, and decisions surrounding end-of-life is easier with a doula in your corner. Be conventional, be weird, be religious, be humanist. We’re here for it.
Legacy
You’ve seen and done some things in this life. Have you thought about how your collections and accomplishments will be understood? Do you have hard-won wisdom you’d like to make sure is shared?
Education
One-on-one, hosting a game night, or leading a class, we love helping to demystify end-of-life. If you’re looking for a presenter, panelist, or
game night host with the Death Deck, we might be the right fit.
Navigating the Medical System
Sometimes you just need someone beside you. We can accompany you on medical visits, help coordinate care amongst services, and communicate with the medical team.
Facilitation
Talking about end-of-life hopes and plans can be intense, especially if there is already tension in your family. With over 6 years of group facilitation experience, we’re here to help.

Thank you for taking the time to sit and speak with D before her passing. You ... allowed her to open up to you for more than 2 hours. [Our] family is grateful.

You’re an angel.
About
Bonne Mori was founded in early 2024 by Nikki Neuen (she/ella) after completing her initial certification with International Doula Life Movement. The call to this work started in earnest in 2021, following the death of her mother and the discovery that her aunt had been serving as the (un)official family death doula for decades. Nikki’s years in support group facilitation, project + event management, and administration meld gloriously in her practice as a death doula. It also helps that she is genuinely curious about the people around her.
Bonne Mori proudly serves the 2SLGBTQ+ community and is especially adept with trans/nonbinary experience.
Bonne Mori is based in Albuquerque, NM, and also proudly serves solo agers, terminally ill, elderly, and those who love them.
